Last year I wrote a whole letter for friends and family about what happened in 2010. 2011 was very different, in many ways just as eventful as the previous year, but not as dramatically life-changing.
So I’m not going into detail; these are some of the things that happened to our family this year (in no particular order):
a lot of snow and snowboarding, a big birthday and unforgettable birthday bash, loss of a favourite toy (good-bye Horsey, wherever you are), a new home, new friendships, a miscarriage, a family holiday in Mexico, a lot of re-connecting but also dis-connecting, a rainy (but lovely) summer in Europe, a 100th birthday, a new job, a first rosette, mountain biking, swimming with dolphins, starting school, learning the Pledge of Allegiance, 2 lost teeth, a first over-night school trip, Playmobil, a LOT of trips around California, discovering a new favourite place, a death, a Greencard application, meeting new relatives, lots of visitors, lots of creativity, a magical Christmas – all topped off with a good portion of fun and laughter with friends and family.
